What is the difference between a vacuum sealed and double walled drink bottle or coffee cup
What is the difference between a vacuum sealed and double walled drink bottle or coffee cup and why the difference in price?
When you are purchasing drink bottles or coffee cups with your logo on it, there is a difference between the qualities of the construction of these.
Single walled coffee cups, plastic, or aluminium drink bottles – cheapest
Double walled coffee cups, metal drink bottles – mid range
Vacuum sealed coffee cups and stainless-steel drink bottles – more expensive.
They all serve a good purpose. If you do want to make a good impression with a high end gift then we do recommend highly the vacuum sealed cups and bottles, they look great and it will give you year round exposure to your logo for hot and cold drinks.
Single walled are good for cold drinks, milk coffee and tea and usually ok for black coffee but can get ridiculously hot when holding them. Even for disposable coffee cups at your café, if they use single walled cups, they will often put one inside the other if you have a black coffee or tea, so you don’t burn your hands.
Double walled coffee cups are great for keeping drinks hot or cold for normal drinking times and metal drink bottles keep water cold for short periods of time. If they have a big opening, you can put ice in there as well. These are the most cost effective.
Vacuum sealed are the premium, keeping liquid hot or cold for a longer period of time. Each product is different and always will state the length of time when you are purchasing, but on average 12 hours.
Other things to note that are important answers to questions. Do not expect leak proof on single walled and double walled coffee cups, they all leak, very little sometimes but don’t put them in your handbag with your laptop and think you are safe! They are perfect for the office, sitting on a desk, walking around, in the car but just don’t think that putting them on an angle that you will be safe!
Vacuum sealed are mostly leak proof, but it depends on the opening to know if they are completely leakproof. If you see on a product that is says they are leakproof then they are. In general, you can walk around and you will have no spills, but upside down in a handbag – mmmmm.
If you compare buying one disposable water bottle a day to any of the above and refilling, it is so much cheaper to have a reusable bottle. You will find however, most bottles and cups are not dishwasher safe and if they are it is a bonus but they need to be hand washed between uses.
Also, with drink bottles make sure you pick a lid or opening that best suits your needs. Big opening allows for ice, sports bottles allows for drinking on the run etc… some lids are noisy and best not suited for meetings.
Anyway, we are here to answer any questions and help select what best suits your needs.
