Branding Information

To misquote an old master, to brand or not to brand, that is the question?

Promotional products, Promotional pens and Corporate gifts can be in some way branded, whether you choose to do so is up to you. Some clients like their branding big and bold whilst others prefer the more subtle approach, this all depends on why and to whom you may be giving the promotional products. Artwork is best provided to us in an EPS, PDF or AI format. Before orders commence, a mock-up of the branding on the artwork is produced and needs to be confirmed by you before production begins. This ensures that there are NO mistakes.

Pad Printing

This is probably the most common form of branding especially on items such as promotional pens, plastic, wood, metal, golf balls, pens and IT items. This is also often the cheapest form as well which is great news for all those promotional products which are more novelty.

Engraving

This method of decoration is clear, sharp and importantly long lasting. Laser engraving provides a sophisticated tonal effect to enhance the product, especially popular on promotional pens that are metal, corporate gifts or promotional gifts that are metal objects (eg cup warmers, keyrings) and plaques.

Embossing & Foil Stamping

This is very popular on leather, PVC and cardboard. It stamps your logo into the surface of the product or material. A blind emboss uses no colour and leaves an impression of your logo in the product for a subtle effect or colour can be added with use of a foil stamp. Foil Stamping is also used in personalising or monogramming products for the individual. The colour gold & silver foiling gives the product being branded a more luxurious appearance.

 Embroidery

Digital Printing

Reverse Artwork

When printing on a background that is similar to part of the branding, the artwork i.e. white on white, the text can be reversed to print black on white.

Set Up

These are charges for the decorator to produce a plate or set up a machine to handle your branding or artwork. This involves a cost for the original project and often reduced with repeat orders, with all the circumstances i.e. size colours etc being identical.

Variable-data printing (VDP)

(Also known as variable-information printing (VIP) 'or VI) is a form of digital printing, including on-demand printing, in which elements such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next, without stopping or slowing down the printing process and using information from a database or external file.
For example, a set of labels, each with the same basic layout, can be printed with a different name on each label. Variable data printing is mainly used for direct marketing, customer relationship management, advertising, invoicing and applying addressing on self-mailers, brochures or postcard campaigns.
